Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Garlic butter shrimp pasta that comes together in 20 minutes. Quick enough for weeknights, impressive enough for guests.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook 30 seconds.
  4. Toss in the cooked pasta, shrimp, parsley, lemon juice, and Parmesan. Add pasta water as needed for a silky sauce. Serve immediately.
