Baked Chicken Parmesan
Crispy baked chicken Parmesan with gooey mozzarella and rich marinara. A healthier version of the classic that doesn’t sacrifice flavour.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Spoon marinara sauce over each breast, top with mozzarella. Bake 5 more minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
