Yogurt Parfait Lunchbox
This yogurt parfait in a jar turns an ordinary snack into a lunchbox highlight. Layers of creamy yogurt, crunchy granola, and sweet fresh fruit create a parfait that’s as fun to eat as it is beautiful. Pack it in a small mason jar and it stays perfectly layered until lunchtime. It’s also a great way to use up ripe fruits and introduce new flavours to your child.
Ingredients
- ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt for extra protein)
- ¼ cup granola
- ¼ cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Small mason jar or container with tight lid
Instructions
- Start with a small mason jar or clear container. A clear jar lets your child see the beautiful layers.
- Add a layer of yogurt to the bottom of the jar — about 2 tablespoons. Spread it evenly.
- Add a layer of granola on top of the yogurt — about 1 tablespoon. Then add a layer of mixed berries.
- Repeat the layers: yogurt, granola, berries, until the jar is full. Finish with a final layer of berries on top.
- Drizzle honey or maple syrup on top if desired. Seal the jar and refrigerate until lunchtime. For best texture, pack the granola separately and let your child add it at lunchtime to keep it crunchy.
