Toad in the hole is a British classic. Baked sausages in a golden, puffy Yorkshire pudding batter.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 sausages
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 220C. Add oil to baking dish. Heat in oven.
  2. Whisk flour, eggs, milk, and salt into a smooth batter.
  3. Place sausages in hot oil. Return to oven 5 min.
  4. Pour batter over sausages. Bake 25 min until puffed and golden.
