Caprese Panini
A warm, pressed Caprese panini with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomato, basil, and balsamic glaze. Ready in 10 minutes and utterly delicious.
Ingredients
- 8 slices sourdough or ciabatta bread
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brush one side of each bread slice with olive oil.
- On the un-oiled side, layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil. Drizzle balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper. Top with remaining bread, oiled side up.
- Grill in a panini press or skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve warm.
